Health and Safety

Drinking water can be found in the field and is clearly marked ‘drinking water'. No hoses can be attached to this tap at anytime.
Dustbins are provided in both fields. Please use them.
Please put all non-recycling rubbish in plastic bags with the tops tied, into the bins. Do not leave any bags beside the bins, as the local wildlife will empty them during the night. Do not leave sharp objects or broken glass where they could become a hazard.
Not all areas will be lit; it is advisable to bring a good torch.
Once on Jawbone Hill Camping site please make yourselves aware of the nearest fire points and the nearest exit route. These will be clearly marked.
We have an abundance of wildlife in the area and have sheep and lambs in adjoining fields. Pregnant women should avoid any contact with sheep and lambs and may wish to seek medical advice before booking.
FIREWORKS, CHINESE LANTERNS and KITES are strictly forbidden. Pylons are close by.

Campsite Rules

Be careful, considerate and thoughtful to others and leave the site just as you found it.
A strict 5 mph speed limit operates on Jawbone Hill Camping site at all times. Care should be taken when leaving the site onto Oughtibridge Lane. There will be no vehicular access to the site on Sunday 6 July until well after the race has passed.
Generators are not permitted.
Arrival time: no earlier than 4pm on Thursday 3rd July 2014.
Dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not permitted.
Radio/television/music etc must not be played to the annoyance of other campers. A good rule of thumb is, if it can be heard from the next Pitch then it is too loud.
Please think of others regarding noise at all times and keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 11:00 pm and 8:00 am especially if returning to the campsite late evening.
Please respect other campers’ privacy.
BBQ’s are allowed but must be raised off the ground. Bricks will be available at the gate next to the entrance. Please return after use.
BBQ’s are the responsibility of the camper; remember the coals stay hot well after your food is cooked so please double check that they are completely extinguished after use.
Please do not tip used oil or boiling water onto the grass and keep hot pans/kettles raised as these also scorch the grass.
Open fires of any kind are strictly forbidden, as is the discharge of fireworks and Chinese lanterns on the campsite and surrounding areas.
FIREWORKS and CHINESE LANTERNS are strictly forbidden.
Pylons are close by. KITE flying is strictly forbidden.
No vehicles or motorcycles of any kind are to be driven/ridden around the site for amusement.
No excessive use of water.
General conduct: If in our opinion anyone staying onsite is considered to be of unreasonable behaviour, causing annoyance to either our interests, our neighbours or those of other campers, they will be asked to leave immediately.
Visitors are not permitted, nor is there parking for visitors.

Is Jawbone Hill Camping situated in a working field?

Yes, sheep graze in these fields; they will be moved several weeks prior to the event. They will return soon after you have gone. Please be considerate and not leave rubbish/broken glass etc.

Where can I watch the race?

Stoney Bank Fram and Jawbone Hill Camping has 300m frontage directly on to the route. An area in our top field is reserved for our campers private road side viewing and is higher than the road and will give an unobstructed view. You may choose to leave the field and stand by the roadside.

Where can I park?

Limited parking will be available in the bottom field, max one car/pitch.

Can I bring dogs?

Dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not permitted.

Where and when can I get food and drink?

Oughtibridge Village is a 5-10 minute walk away and has a number of food outlets.
We have a Beer tent and buffalo burger van for campers enjoyment.
